Mermaid Goddess of the Earth.

As a deity of the earth and fertility, Nerthus embodies traits of nurturing and generosity, reflecting her role in bringing abundance and prosperity to her followers. She is seen as a peaceful and benevolent figure, fostering harmony and well-being among the tribes that worshipped her. However, there is also a sense of mystery and sacredness surrounding her, as her presence was considered so holy that direct contact with her chariot and person required ritual purification, emphasizing her divine and untouchable nature. Nerthus is also associated with cycles of renewal and purification, traits that highlight her connection to the natural world and its rhythms. Overall, she is a complex figure, embodying the earth's nurturing aspects and the awe-inspiring power of nature's cycles.

Image is printed by the artist on Canson Infinity Platine Fine Art Fibre Rag 100% cotton paper (unless otherwise indicated) using a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4100, 4000 or 1000 printer with genuine Canon archival pigment inks.  

All Images are printed true to size (8x10, 16x20, etc.) on sheets slightly larger than the image size resulting in a border.

4x5.9 Fine Art Prints have rounded corners, are heavyweight and either textured matte or smooth depending on the image.  The artist chooses paper types based on the best match between paper characteristics and image.

Image may be cropped slightly and may appear slightly different according to the aspect ratio of the size you order. 

8x10s and smaller are shipped in a heavy duty cardboard mailer.

16x20 and larger sizes are signed on the back by the artist and shipped in heavy duty cardboard tube.
